Eugene, Oregon - Marist teacher Walt Fox and senior students Lauren Englet and Nikola Sušec were recently recognized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Each year, the VFW recognizes the nation's top elementary, junior high and high school teachers who regularly teach citizenship education topics and effectively promote America's history and traditions. Specifically, they look for teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism.
